Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul's appearances on a TV syndicated program, and the comments from the previous that drew sharp analysis, constrained the BCCI's CoA to issue a showcause notice to the two cricketers on Wednesday (January 9).

The two Indian players showed up on the show 'Koffee with Karan' where Pandya's responses to specific inquiries presented by the host went under analysis, especially via web-based networking media, for being bigot and misogynist.

"We have sent show prompt notification to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their remarks. They have been given 24 hours to give a clarification," executive of the Committee of Administrators Vinod Rai told PTI.

The Indian all-rounder had prior taken to Twitter to apologize for his remarks, referencing that he escaped "with nature of the show".

"In the wake of thinking about my remarks on Koffee with Karan, I might want to apologize to everybody concerned who I may have harmed in any capacity. Truly, I got a bit diverted with the idea of the show. Not the slightest bit did I intend to lack of regard or hurt anybody's suppositions. Regard," Pandya composed on his Twitter page.
