Hosts Australia to play India in Women's T20 World Cup 2020 opener 


The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 (recently known as the World T20) will happen from February 21 to March 8 of every 2020 in Australia, trailed by the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2020 from October 18 to November 15. This will be the first run through when the ladies' and men's T20 World Cups will be held as independent occasions around the same time and in a similar nation. Finals of both the competitions will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Ten ladies groups will challenge 23 matches and 16 men groups will challenge 45 coordinates crosswise over Australia in eight host urban areas and 13 settings. Ladies' shielding champions Australia will play India in the opening round of the competition while men's competition will open its Super 12 organize with hosts Australia going up against Pakistan, right now the world's best positioned group.

The eight best ladies' groups, as per their completing positions at the World T20 2018 in the West Indies, have increased programmed capability to the competition, with the staying two groups to be resolved through a passing competition to be held later in 2019.

For the men's version, eight best positioned groups starting at 31 December 2018 have consequently met all requirements for the Super 12 - with Afghanistan being an outstanding consideration. The staying four groups will be resolved through the principal qualifying round played in Geelong and Hobart paving the way to the Super 12 arrange. Eight distinct groups will battle it out in the passing round, and Groups An and B will inevitably subsume two groups each. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, having completed ninth and tenth separately in the rankings, are the two known groups in the principal qualifying round. The staying six groups will be picked through another passing competition that will be held later in 2019.

It's fascinating to take note of that India and Pakistan have been attracted separate gatherings for the two ladies' and men's version, and the equivalent goes for Australia and England.
